We started out the weekend with the Flake Rodeo. The boys ran in the races and Reed helped Austin chase the money calf. Austin got a dollar. He was so happy! He didn't want to put the dollar in his pocket or even take the tape off the dollar, he just wanted to hold it and look at it :)
Here you can see the dollar a little better in his hand. When they got back the stands my camera battery died so I didn't get any more pictures that day. After the rodeo we went to the pot-luck lunch with the Flakes, then home for naps. That night we went to the town Rodeo in Taylor. I took popcorn, kisses, juice and crackers to keep them happy. They did pretty good. The popcorn was a great idea! That kept Cayden happy for a long time!
On Saturday we went to the parade. Austin loved chasing the candy and got lots of it. He took his little backpack and filled it up with junk! They sure throw a lot of candy these days?! Cayden thought the heavens had opened and dumped candy on him and he was free to eat as much as he could get his hands on! I don't even want to know how much he ate. That afternoon we went to the craft fair at the park. It was hot but we saw a lot of people that we knew and had fun visiting.
That night me and Reed had tickets to Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband. It was on the football field, so we took chairs and blankets. We were really excited, not that I had ever even heard of the band, but it sounded fun anyway! It was of course raining and after sitting in the rain for about 45 min they moved it in the auditorium (Which has totally been fixed up and looks really nice inside) It took them about 45 min to set all there stuff up. The concert finally started at 9:30. They did good, we enjoyed it. They had some good songs and they were funny to, so we had fun. It would have been better outside, but it was still good. We really enjoyed the celebration this year being able to come to our own house for naps, and bedtime. That makes the kids much happier!
